Leh, November 7: District Commissioner Leh, Romil Singh Donk (IAS), convened a meeting with Nambardars from Kharu, Durbuk, and Nyoma Sub-Divisions at the DC Conference Hall, Leh, to discuss local governance and preparations for the upcoming “Mimangs-Si-Jabstogs” (Public Services) campaign.
The meeting was attended by ADC Leh Ghulam Mohd (JKAS), ACR Leh Shabir Hussain, CPO Leh Tsewang Gyaltson, and other officials. DC Leh welcomed the participants and appreciated their role in bridging the gap between the administration and the grassroots.
Officials briefed the gathering on the 15-day Mimangs-Si-Jabstogs initiative aimed at resolving public grievances, ensuring on-the-spot service delivery, and improving access to schemes such as Aadhaar, Golden Cards, and welfare benefits. ADC Leh emphasized the role of SDMs in addressing public issues following the dissolution of LAHDC and urged Nambardars to maintain close coordination with administrative officers for effective communication and governance.
During the session, Nambardars raised key concerns related to Jal Jeevan Mission, education, health, telecommunication, and road connectivity. They also flagged issues such as damage to school infrastructure due to recent rainfall, shortage of headmasters, and the growing stray dog menace in the Changthang region.
DC Leh assured timely redressal of all issues and directed departments to take prompt action. He also urged continued collaboration between local representatives and officials to ensure the success of the upcoming outreach campaign and enhance service delivery across remote areas of Leh district.
