Leh: In a meeting, Deputy Commissioner/District Election Officer, Leh, Shrikant Suse apprised the political parties about the Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Roll concerning Jan 01, 2023, as the qualifying date and also the subsequent qualifying dates i.e April 01, 2023, July 01, 2023, and October 01, 2023. Any applicant becoming eligible for registration on the above dates can submit/file their claims in Form 06 in advance.
He added that the period for filing any claims and objections for inclusion or exclusion of names or any particulars in the draft Electoral Roll has been effective from Nov 09, 2022, and will last till Dec 08, 2022. He shared that any claims and objections filed during the Special Summary Revision will be uploaded on the district website i.e www.leh.nic.in, and similarly, the political parties will also be informed.
He advised the political parties to appoint Booth Level Agents (BLAs) who could then coordinate easily with the designated Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of each polling station.
The District Election Office distributed the draft electoral list to the political parties in presence of the Assistant Electoral Registration Officer, Leh.
