Kargil: Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve today chaired a preparatory meeting at Conference Hall Baroo to review the arrangements ahead of the 75th Independence Day celebration in the district.
Superintending Engineer, R&B, Nissar Ahmad Bagh, Superintending Engineer, Hydraulics Maqbool Hussain, ACD Ghulam Mohammad, District Treasury Officer Iftikhar Hussain, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Manzoor Ahmad, CMO, Executive Engineer PHE, Executive Engineer R&B, Executive Engineer I&FC, AD Tourism and other district officers attended the meeting.
As per the past practice before the Covid-19 pandemic, the DC instructed the concerned officers to ensure maximum participation of schools, NCC cadres, police, band party, Sainik Welfare and other teams for the parade on the auspicious occasion of Independence Day. It was informed that cultural programs wouldn’t take place because of the observation of Muharram.
DC Santosh further instructed to ensure proper decoration at the event spot in order to ensure a grand celebration of the 75th year of Independence.
The DC instructed all the concerned departments to make necessary arrangements as per minutes of the meeting to be issued by the Deputy Commissioner Office.
He further instructed to invite all the civil societies and religious organizations for the event scheduled at Khree Sultan Cho Sports Stadium, Biamathang.
The Deputy Commissioner further reviewed and instructed to make arrangements for the “At Home Celebration” of Independence Day in the evening.
