Leh: The deputy commissioner of Jammu, Avny Lavasa has met His Holiness Dalai Lama who is now in Ladakh for a month long visit.
This is Avny’s second time meeting His Holiness. She posted a picture this morning on her twitter profile of both the meeting and wrote “Doubly fortunate. With His Holiness in July 2018 and July 2022″

His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama arrived in Leh on Friday and met prominent personalities across the religious, social and political spectrum. Hundreds of civilians and monks accorded a warm welcome to the Tibetan spiritual leader who is likely to stay in Ladakh for over a month till August 19. The visit comes at a time when the situation along the Line of Actual Control in eastern Ladakh remains tense.
Before arriving in Leh, His Holiness stayed in Jammu for a day.
