Cultural Revival Workshop, Language awareness camp conclude in Kargil

Kargil: A Week-long cultural revival workshop and language awareness camp concluded at Kukshow Village Thursday. It was Jointly organised by LAHDC, Kargil and Ladakh Cultural Academy Kargil.

On the Validatory Day of the week Long Camp Mohsin Ali, Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil graces the occasion as Chief Guest.

The Councilor briefed about the importance of culture and language preservation and stressed on promoting our rich socio-cultural heritage of Ladakh which is unique and significant. He further said such initiatives & workshop will difinitely boost the Cultural heritage of Ladakh.

Kukshow Village is famous in Ladakh for its unique Cultural identity and traditions also famous for its brotherhood.
There are almost 46 participants in the week Long Cultural Revival Workshop and four experts were also engaged for the week Long Cultural Revival Workshop.

In the present era of digital World, these Villages of Pachari, Kukshow and Dargoo Villages of Sub division Shakar Chiktan are still not connected with the digital world due to no availability of Mobile Tower Facilities.

People of these villages have long pending demands for early erection of Mobile Towers.

On the Closing ceremony of A week Long Camp the Executive Councillor LAHDC Leh along with the Officer’s of BSNL Kargil also announced that they identified the Location for early erection of Mobile Towers.

They further informed to the general public that soon they will execute the erection of Mobile Towers in their respective villages so that the Villages of Pachari, Kukshow and Dargoo Villages will get connected with the rest of the world.

Village representatives and public were present during the closing ceremony of the awareness camp and they also deeply expressed and highly Thankful to the LAHDC, Kargil, Ladakh Cultural Academy Kargil and BSNL Kargil with Traditional Khataks.
