DRASS, JUNE 16: Deputy Commissioner Drass, Imteeaz Kacho, on Tuesday conducted a comprehensive inspection of District Hospital Drass, reviewing healthcare infrastructure, patient services and the progress of the upcoming CT Scan facility.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by LAHDC-Kargil Councillor Abdul Samad and Block Medical Officer Dr. Sajjad Hussain during the visit.
A key focus of the inspection was the ongoing work on the CT Scan facility being established at the hospital. Taking stock of the progress, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned agencies to expedite the remaining work and ensure its completion at the earliest, as the proposed inauguration date is approaching.
During the visit, DC Kacho also inspected the Trauma Unit and other sections of the hospital. He reviewed the availability of medical equipment, healthcare infrastructure and patient care services being provided to the public.
Emphasising the importance of efficient healthcare delivery, he stressed the need to maintain cleanliness within the hospital premises, ensure the availability of essential medicines and provide timely, quality medical services to patients.
The Deputy Commissioner assured hospital authorities that genuine issues requiring administrative intervention would be examined and addressed appropriately to further strengthen healthcare facilities in the district.
The visit reflects the administration’s continued efforts to enhance medical infrastructure and improve healthcare accessibility for residents of the Drass region.
