Leh: Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Leh, Tsewang Gyalson, chaired a comprehensive review meeting with officials from the Roads and Buildings (R&B) Division of PWD Leh on July 28 at the VC Room, DC Office, Leh.
The meeting was part of the ongoing efforts to ensure timely implementation and effective utilization of funds under the District CAPEX Budget.
During the session, officials from the R&B Division presented a detailed report supported by site photographs, highlighting the progress and expenditure status of ongoing developmental projects.
The photographic documentation was particularly appreciated by the CPO, who noted that such practices enhance transparency and accountability in project execution.
Emphasizing the need for efficient resource management, Tsewang Gyalson urged officials to avoid redundant or unnecessary work and to focus on quality and impact.
He directed the team to thoroughly review and verify the content of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) before submitting them for Administrative Approval (AA), stressing that careful planning at this stage is critical to the success of the projects.
The CPO further underscored the importance of accelerating expenditure within the current financial year and called for greater coordination between field-level Junior Engineers and senior officials.
He noted that grassroots-level monitoring is vital for ensuring that developmental works remain on track and meet the expected standards.
The meeting was attended by the Superintending Engineer, PWD Leh; Executive Engineer, R&B Division; Assistant Executive Engineers (AEEs); and Junior Engineers (JEs) from the Leh division.
