Leh, Dec 3, 2025: Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Leh, Tsewang Gyalson, today chaired a comprehensive review meeting on the implementation of the Vibrant Village Programme (VVP-I) at the VC Room of the DC Office, Leh. The session focused on assessing both physical and financial progress of sanctioned projects, convergence efforts, and the status of geo-tagged photographs uploaded on the Digital VVP-I portal.
CPO Gyalson directed all departments to promptly upload work status and site photographs on the portal, stressing that geo-tagged documentation is crucial for accurate project verification. He also instructed officials to prepare estimates for signage and selfie points at key tourist locations to enhance visitor experience across Vibrant Village areas. Departments were further asked to submit Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for additional interventions needed in the villages.
Highlighting gaps in submissions, the CPO noted that while some project proposals have been received, departments must prioritise essential works and submit DPRs for urgent requirements for onward submission to the Ministry. He emphasised timely execution and completion of ongoing projects and urged officers to review the status of approved works within their departments.
During the meeting, officers raised several queries, which were addressed by the CPO. He urged them to certify completed works in their jurisdictions, ensure proper utilisation of funds, and submit bills strictly based on the execution of works. Additionally, departments were directed to organise awareness programmes and service delivery camps in their respective areas and document these activities with photographs.
The meeting was attended by Superintending Engineers of PWD and I&FC Leh, Chief Medical Officer Leh, District Sheep Husbandry Officer Leh, DEPO Leh, DYSSO Leh, Executive Engineer SSD Nyoma, Assistant Directors from Tourism and RDD, and other concerned officers.
