Leh: The Councillor Panamik Tsering Sandup called upon newly appointed Hemis Monastery Chakzot Ven Nawang Jigmet and apprised him development work being carried out in constituency.

As per official handout, Tsering Sandup also congratulated Hemis Monastery Chakzot Ven Nawang Jigmet for his appointment to the most prestigious seat of one of the largest monastery of Ladakh.
He also updated him about the various developmental works being carried out in his constituency also specifically with regards to Yarma Gonbo monastery.
He briefed him about construction of silk route museum at Yarma gonbo 3.65 CR under construction, installation of power transmission from Nyungsted to Gonbo 80 lacs completed, lift irrigation system at Gonbo sanctioned under LAHDC Capex budget, Construction of bridge at Hindu nallah around 1 cr and Purchase of portable DG set and water lifting pump 01 lac.
“Installed 5KV solar power plant at the monastery, Nominated councillor Dr Yangchan Dolma provided 10 lac for the construction of community kitchen from her CCDF, Construction of sermon stage 04 lac from CCDF, Purchase of PA system 01 lac from CCDF , Construction of deselting tank and FP work at Gonbo nallah 1. 20 cr, 40 carat of protection bands on saichen river, Construction of dinning hall with kitchen at CIBS school 05 lacs provided by nominated councillor Ven Konchok Tsepal from his CCDF,” these projects were also discussed
He informed that CEC Adv Tashi distributed 15 nos bicycle to the monks, one set solar panel system delivered to monastery and informed that LAHDC Leh alloted 10 Marla land at Skampari to the monastery..
He also discussed the future initiatives for the inclusive development of the region and invited chakzot for a visit to the region in coming summer.
The Chakzot conveyed his happiness on the various initiatives and blessed the Councilor to keep carrying out the various initiatives for the welfare of the public.
