LEH: Congress party in Ladakh took out a symbolic Padyatra from NDS stadium to Sheldan Community Hall on the eve of the first anniversary of Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra. A large number people joined the Padyatra holding party flag and raising Bharat jodo slogan. The Yatra ended with a seminar where the participants were briefed by party leaders of the importance of the Bharat Jodo Yatra. The longest ever Padyatra under taken by any politician in the world let alone India Rahul Gandhi traverse 4000 km from Kaniya Kumari to Kashmir. The objective of the Yatra was to listen to the voices of the voiceless people - from youth to farmers, small businessmen, fisherman, the under - privileged and downtrodden. Alongside, this was in a way pilgrimage and a journey to seek the soul of this great nation for Rahul Gandhi. This was also a political mission to spread peace, amity, brother and harmony in these times of xenophobia, hatred, fear and toxicity which threatens to destroy the very soul of India. Bharat Jodo Yatra was a mass movement which was held by the political party Indian National Congress led by Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi who was orchestrating the movement by encouraging the party cadre and the public to walk from Kanyakumari at the southern tip of India to the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, a journey of 4,080 kilometres (2,540 miles) over almost 150 days. According to INC, the movement was intended to unite the country against the ‘divisive politics’.
