Leh: Asserting that the fresh recruitment has been already started, the Deputy Commissioner, District Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve said that the recent decision of Kargil Sub-ordinate Service Recruitment Board (KSSRB) to withdrawal Class -IV posts was taken due to technical problems being faced by recruitment agency to continue the process.
“The recruitment rules were changed after the Ladakh become Union Territory and the advertisement notification not par with rules due to which the notification withdrawn,” he said.
“After formation of Ladakh as Union Territory, the recruitment rules were revised for every department and this was one of the reasons to withdraw posts,” Santosh Sukhadeve said while addressing a press conference.
He added that the advertisement issued for the posts not at par with new rules as the categorisation of posts and syllabus have been changed.
“Many applications were received from candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) of Jammu and Kashmir but after August 19 decision of centre only residents of Ladakh are eligible for the posts,” he said adding that this is another technical issue to withdraw posts.
He added that the third reason for withdrawing posts was that many posts were now referred as UT division cadre. “Now SSC will conduct recruitment for UT division cadre,” he said.
He added that the posts were readvertised according to the new rules and qualification. “By October 31st we will advertise more than 200 posts,” he added.
He further informed that the commissioner secretary will recommend posts to DSRB and then the exams will be conducted.
He also said that the fresh recruitment process has been started. “We have notified syllabus at par with SSC,” he said.
He said that this was mutually decided Kargil DSRB and Leh DSRB to introduce SSC sallybus for the convivence of aspirants.
