Sankoo: The Community Health Centre (CHC) Sankoo in Kargil has proudly received the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) Certification from national Health Systems Resource Centre, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare Govt of India.

Community Health Centre (CHC) Sankoo, Kargil is the first health facility in the Kargil District to achieve this certification, which is issued by the National Health Systems Resource Centre.
The Community Health Centre Sankoo (CHC) underwent a thorough external assessment by empaneled assessors starting on September 26, 2022, evaluating all 12 departments.
The assessments focused on various aspects of healthcare delivery and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with national quality benchmarks.
Notably, CHC Sankoo excelled in the external assessment, achieving the highest score of 97.52% among two public facilities in the Ladakh Union Territory for 2023.
This outstanding performance reflects the center’s exemplary adherence to cleanliness and infection control protocols.
