BJP Mahila Morcha calls for reservation for women in both Hill Councils
LEH : Chairman, Block Development Council (BDC), Ranbir Pora in Drass, Noor Mohd, called on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, RK Mathur, at Raj Niwas.
He raised issues for the development of Drass, viz. completion of the Government Degree College (GDC) at Drass, sanctioning of assistant professors, especially Environmental Science, for GDC Drass; filling up the posts of physician, gynaecologist, orthopaedic and ultrasound technician and providing adequate equipment for the operation theatre at Sub-District Hospital in Drass; allocation of the administrative staff at Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Office in Drass; better internet connectivity and telecom services in different villages of Drass; issuance of Actual Line of Control (ALC) certificate for people in border areas; the establishment of Tourism Development Authority (TDA) for Drass sub-division; declaring Botokul as a tourist destination and repairing of the Drass-Mushkoo road, etc.
A delegation of BJP Mahila Morcha Ladakh led by its State President, Rinchen Dolkar, raised the issue of reservation of seats for women in both the Hill Councils.
A delegation led by President of Ladakh Biker Rental Cooperative Ltd Leh, Tashi Yountan, raised several issues related to biker agencies operating in Leh, including the fixation of criteria for the issuance of new licence, allotment of land for establishing the office, transfer of the registration of second hand bikes, providing a platform for biker associations to participate in various national and international travel trade shows, etc.
