Kharu, May 16: The three-day training programme for enumerators and supervisors of Tehsil Kharu concluded successfully on Friday at the SDM Conference Hall, marking another key step in preparations for Census 2027 in Ladakh.
The programme was conducted under the overall supervision of Mohd Shabir as part of the preparatory phase aimed at strengthening grassroots-level readiness for the upcoming national census exercise.
During the training sessions, participants were given detailed orientation on enumeration methodology, use of digital tools for data collection, house-listing procedures and the newly introduced self-enumeration module that will form part of Census 2027 operations.
Stanzin Namgyal along with field trainers Irfan Khan and Gonbo Dorjai conducted practical and hands-on sessions for the participants.
Officials from the Directorate of Census Operations also joined the programme as resource persons and addressed field-level challenges, stressing the importance of uniform data recording, confidentiality and accuracy in accordance with census guidelines.
The sessions focused on ensuring that enumerators and supervisors are fully equipped to carry out efficient and error-free data collection during the nationwide exercise.
The training concluded with participants reaffirming their commitment towards the successful conduct of Census 2027, with officials emphasising the importance of ensuring that every individual is counted and accurately represented in the census database.
Authorities described the programme as a significant move towards enhancing field preparedness and strengthening the administrative framework for the smooth conduct of Census 2027 in the region.
