Leh: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, today visited the site of the Reclining Buddha Statue at Chushot Shamma. He was accompanied by the Hon’ble Councillor of Chushot, Mirza Hussain.
During the visit, the Hon’ble CEC conducted a detailed inspection of the statue and thoroughly reviewed the ongoing construction works.
Members of the Chushot Shamma Ex-Servicemen Society, including President Tsering Angchuk, Vice President Tashi Dorjey, General Secretary Tsering Angchuk, Cashier Ishey Namgail, and other members, apprised him of the progress achieved so far. The members of the society extended their heartfelt gratitude to the Hon’ble CEC for his continued support so far.
They also placed a request for support in providing marble, gabik, iron angles, and flooring tiles required for further completion of the statue project and for the renovation works of the adjoining monastery, which continues to serve as an important spiritual and cultural centre for the community.
The Hon’ble CEC assured them that their request would be duly considered and appreciated the efforts of the society for taking forward such an important initiative dedicated to the preservation of cultural and spiritual heritage in the region.
