Leh: Chairman/ CEC, Adv Tashi Gyalson today symbolically laid the foundation of the link road to the newly constructed Buddha statue at Gompa village in Upper Leh. Councillor, Upper Leh, Phuntsog Stanzin Tsepag; Executive Engineer, R&B; representatives from Gompa village led by Nambardar and other officials accompanied CEC Gyalson.
He visited the Buddha statue site and reviewed the development activities. He assured the villagers of Gompa village to extend all possible assistance for the early completion of the Buddha statue project.
He also laid the foundation for the construction of a health centre-cum-nursing home by LI-VKV Alumni Association of Ladakh at Kheu Tak below Nezer Hill in Leh.
CEC Gyalson appreciated the initiative taken by the Alumni Association of Ladakh for the construction of the health centre-cum-nursing home to provide basic healthcare facilities to the people of Ladakh and to ease the load off SNM Hospital Leh. He assured all possible assistance in the completion of the health center.
DC Leh and Councillor Lower Leh also assured to provide assistance for the completion of the project to enable the people of Ladakh to avail its benefit.
H.E Tsamtrul Rinpoche, monks from Sankar monastery, Councillors of LAHDC Leh, and members of LI-VKV Alumni Association of Ladakh comprising veteran politicians, bureaucrats, and other prominent personalities from Ladakh, were present at the function.
