Leh: Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor of LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, chaired a high-level meeting today to review and discuss preparations for the upcoming Ladakh rPal Ngam Duston 2025, which will be celebrated on August 5 to mark UT Ladakh Declaration Day.
The meeting was held in the presence of Hon’ble Executive Councillors Ghulam Mehdi and Tashi Namgyal Yakzee, along with key officials and cultural representatives. Discussions focused on the detailed structure of the event, including theatre and musical performances, traditional costume showcases, and the overall timing and execution of the day’s proceedings.
A vibrant cultural procession from Leh Palace to the Polo Ground is proposed for the morning, followed by a grand cultural celebration in the evening at the NDS Sports Ground. The programme aims to showcase Ladakh’s rich cultural diversity and foster a deeper sense of identity and pride among its people.
CEC Tashi Gyalson emphasised the significance of ensuring that the event reflects Ladakh’s heritage and called on all departments and stakeholders to work in close coordination. He urged organisers to make the celebration meaningful, inclusive, and representative of the region’s vibrant traditions.
A follow-up meeting will be held to finalise the remaining arrangements and responsibilities.
