Leh: The Chairman/CEC, Adv. Tashi Gyalson along with MP Ladakh presided over the Annual Convention of the Bikers Union Ladakh and inaugurated a Bike Expo organised by the Ladakh Biker Rental Cooperative Ltd. (Bikers Union Ladakh) in Leh today.
“Overwhelmed to see such a large number of youths engaged in this business. This shows how the youths are stepping forward in becoming job givers rather than job seekers. I appreciate the determination and hard work of the youths in scaling up entrepreneurship and filling up the gap of employment in Ladakh. Efforts are being made to make the tourism industry more sustainable for which the Hill Council, Leh, and the UT Administration are collectively working in protecting the interest of the stakeholders,” stated CEC Tashi Gyalson.
He further urged all the individuals involved in this industry to cooperate in protecting the fragile natural ecosystem of Ladakh. CEC Gyalson also appreciated companies such as Royal Enfield for contributing hugely to CSR initiatives in the region. He requested other major companies to assist the locals in making the industry sustainable through such noble initiatives.
Members of Ladakh Biker Rental Cooperative Ltd. led by their President attended the event. Representatives from the Bike industry including KTM, Royal Enfield, Hero, Jawa Motorcycles, and Honda participated in the Bike Expo.
