Leh: CEC Tashi Gyalson said that His Holiness Sakya Trichen Rinpochey’s visit holds deep meaning for the people of Ladakh and called upon all departments to work together to ensure everything runs smoothly, respectfully, and in a well-organised manner.
With this message, the Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor of LAHDC Leh chaired a high-level review meeting in Leh to assess preparations for the upcoming visit of the 42nd Sakya Trichen Rinpochey.
Joined by Executive Councillor for Art & Culture, Stanzin Chosphel, the meeting saw participation from senior officials including SE PWD Dorjey Gyatso, ACD Ghulam Mohd., CMO Dolma Chuskit, Addl. SP Rigzin Sangdup, DPO Akheel Sajjad, Former MP Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, and religious representatives from Matho village and Matho Monastery.
The CEC emphasised the spiritual and cultural significance of the visit and directed all departments to act in close coordination with a deep sense of responsibility.
The Health Department has been asked to deploy adequate medical teams and emergency services.
The PHE Department will ensure clean drinking water and proper sanitation, while the PDD has been instructed to maintain an uninterrupted power supply with adequate backups. The PWD and RDD departments have been tasked with carrying out road repairs and improving infrastructure in and around the event venues.
