Leh: In a day packed with interactions, Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson met with multiple delegations, including student bodies, a charitable trust, and a young academic achiever, reaffirming the Council’s commitment to youth empowerment, education, and community welfare.
The CEC first met representatives of the All Ladakh Students’ Association Jammu (ALSAJ), led by Vice President Stanzin Gaychet, who thanked him for LAHDC’s consistent support to Ladakhi students studying outside the region. They also raised admission-related challenges in Jammu & Kashmir, to which the CEC assured follow-up with the concerned authorities.
He was also called upon by the Ladakh Students’ Association Chandigarh (LSA), led by President Jisket Angmo, who appreciated his student-centric initiatives and presented a memento as a token of gratitude. The CEC informed them about LAHDC’s upcoming free coaching programme for competitive exams.
The Student Council of Eliezer Joldan Memorial College, Leh, led by Vice President Stanzin Rangdol, expressed thanks for the recent recruitment notifications and free coaching support. The CEC welcomed their feedback and encouraged them to strive for excellence.
In another meeting, the Tibetan Heart Charitable Trust delegation, led by Founder Tenzin Choney, briefed the CEC on upcoming healthcare initiatives, including a cardiac screening camp in northern settlements. He assured LAHDC’s support for expanding preventive healthcare in the region.
CEC Gyalson also congratulated Tashi Chosphel, a Ladakhi student who cracked IIT-JEE Advanced and secured admission in Computer Science. He lauded the efforts of his parents, teachers, and mentor Tashi Gyatso of Ambience Coaching Centre, calling the achievement an inspiration for Ladakh’s youth.
Through these interactions, Adv. Tashi Gyalson reiterated that LAHDC Leh will continue working to enhance opportunities for young people and strengthen community services across Ladakh.
