Leh: Chairman/CEC, Adv. Tashi Gyalson convened a meeting on Thursday to discuss the budgetary arrangements and further action plans for the upcoming marathon to be conducted on frozen Pangong Lake during the winter season this year.
Dy Chairman/EC Sports, Tsering Angchuk; EC RDD Tashi Namgyal Yakzee; Secretary Sports Ladakh, Ravinder Kumar, and DC Leh, Shrikant Suse attended the meeting.
CEC also chaired a seperate meeting to discuss the modalities of implementation of Renewable Energy (RE) in the Leh district.
Dy Chairman, Tsering Angchuk; EC RDD Tashi Namgyal Yakzee; Secretary, PDD & NRE, Ravinder Kumar; DC Leh, Shrikant Suse; Councillor Korzok, Karma Namdak; SE PDD Leh, Xen PDD Leh, PD LREDA, officials of SECI led by Director (Power System), and officials of PGCIL and JKPDC attended the meeting.
Various agendas were discussed in the meeting, including the ongoing projects executed by SECI, and the scope of generating employment opportunities, especially among the local youth from rural and border areas, through such mega projects. Imparting skill development training for unskilled youth from rural areas to enable them to earn livelihood opportunities was also discussed in the meeting.
