
CEC Leh visits Zer-thang to oversee preparations ahead of HH Dalai Lama’s visit
Leh: Chairman/CEC, Tashi Gyalson visited Zer-thang in Khaltse Sunday to assess the preparations ahead of the highly anticipated visit of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama to the Sham region this summer.
During the visit, CEC Gyalson thoroughly examined the progress of the ongoing works and expressed his appreciation to the concerned stakeholders and executing agencies for their dedication and the progress achieved thus far.
He emphasised the importance of completing all the planned works at the site within the designated time frame and instructed the concerned officers to ensure their timely completion.
The officials of the Ladakh Buddhist Association Sham unit, and the Sham Coordination Committee expressed their gratitude to CEC Gyalson for the assistance rendered by the Hill Council and the Administration in facilitating the necessary arrangements at Zer-thang.
Furthermore, CEC Gyalson convened a comprehensive review meeting with the stakeholders and the Departmental officers to discuss all the shortcomings and to address them promptly.
CEC Gyalson was accompanied by Councillor Khaltse, Lobzang Sherab; Councillor Lamayuru, Dr. Morup Dorjey; President LBA Sham unit, Tsewang Nurboo; Chairman Sham Coordination Committee, and Departmental heads of the Khaltse sub-division led by I/c SDM, Tanveer Ahmed, along with other officers and officials.
