CEC Leh holds review meeting with MOE, GOI Officers
LEH: Chairman/CEC, Tashi Gyalson had a review meeting with the Officers, Officials of MOE, GOI, Headed by Charanjit Taneja, Deputy Secretary who are on a week-long visit to UT Ladakh for an on-ground assessment and situational analysis in respect of schools/residential school.
A thorough discussion was held on various points like what else can be included in the supplementary PAB-2023 the previous day. Be it recurring cost of school buses, up-gradation of PS Yulchung, New opening of PS Bogdang, strengthening of existing hostels, language teachers, winter coaching/tuition, heating facility.
Director, School Education apprised the Chairman on several developments and the status of enrolment of students in different government schools of Leh district.
CEC Gyalson directed the concerned officers to focus on Early Childhood care and education in far- flung areas and to ensure equity and inclusion at all levels of school education. He stresses on ensuring safe, secure and conducive learning environment and minimum standards in school provisions. And have a holistic approach to education and the role of infrastructure in education.
He also stated to include Bhoti Language teachers in Samagra to meet up the shortcomings of the teachers in Bhoti Language. He further directed the officials of the school education department to come up with a constructive framework for resolving issues which been discussed in the meeting.
The meeting was attended by the Director, School Education Department Ladakh, Tsering Paldan; SE (R&B) Leh, Nisar Ahmed; CEO Leh, S.D.Namgial; DEPO Leh, Sonam Wangchuk and Samagra Team.
The meeting was also attended by the officials from D/o SE&L which include Deputy Secretary, D/O SE&L, CHaranjit Taneja; Consultant (NEP) and Access & Retention (Residential School & Hostel), Shakeel Ahemed Quereshi; Consultant, Assessment, Quality and Innovation, Samagra Shiksha, Atiqur Rehman; Consultant, Access and Retention (opening and up-gradation of New Schools), Abdul Momin.
