Leh: CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson chaired a follow-up meeting with all the stakeholders to discuss plans for the upcoming 11th Edition of the Sustainable Mountain Development Summit (SMDS) to be held in October this year at Leh.

Chairperson, Sustainable Development Forum of Ladakh (SDFL), Jigmet Takpa briefed all the officials on the future roadmaps along with the aim and objective for conducting the Mountain Summit in Leh. A thorough discussion on sustainable themes and brainstorming of knowledge took place among the stakeholders during the meeting.
CEC Tashi Gyalson advised all the stakeholders, who are part of the summit to initiate action plans for the summit. He further instructed line departments to ensure smooth logistical arrangements. H’CEC sought assistance from all the stakeholders in making the summit productive and successful.

The meeting was attended by Dy Chairman, Tsering Angchuk, EC Minority/Forest, Ghulam Mehdi, EC Agriculture, Stanzin Chosphel, PCCF Jigmet Takpa, DC Leh, Shrikant Suse, SP Leh, PD Nidtya, Councillors of LAHDC Leh, Director Tourism, District HoDs from the line Departments, members of SDFL, and all the stakeholders related to Environment, Education, and Tourism of Leh, Ladakh.
