Kargil, November 04, 2025:
Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, conducted a surprise inspection of the District Hospital Kargil to assess healthcare facilities and patient services.
During the visit, Dr. Akhoon inspected various wards, reviewed medical services, and checked heating arrangements as winter sets in. He interacted with patients to get direct feedback on the availability of medicines and quality of care.
Expressing satisfaction over the hospital’s overall functioning, the CEC directed the Chief Medical Officer and Medical Superintendent to ensure that heating systems remain functional during morning and evening hours for patient comfort.
He also instructed that one doctor must remain on duty at the casualty ward and another in the labour room and general wards during night hours to ensure uninterrupted medical services.
Dr. Akhoon reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to improving healthcare delivery across the district and ensuring quality medical facilities for all residents.
