Kargil: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, today inaugurated a book titled “Big County Little Business” authored by Shri Santosh Choubey, Chairman of the AISECT Group.
The event also marked a key discussion on skill development in the region. A delegation from AISECT including Mudasir Kar (Zonal Head North), Abid Hussain (State Coordinator J&K and Ladakh), and Daljeet Singh (State Coordinator Jammu) briefed Dr. Akhoon about their ongoing work in Ladakh under the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF).
The team highlighted AISECT’s role in delivering skill-oriented training programs in schools, with an emphasis on employment generation for Ladakhi youth. They sought LAHDC Kargil’s support for the wider implementation of these programs across the district.
Dr. Akhoon lauded AISECT’s continued commitment to youth empowerment and vocational education, and assured full cooperation and support from LAHDC Kargil for their initiatives aimed at boosting skill development in the region.
