Kargil: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon meet with the delegation of Itchoo village led by Councillor Sheikh Mohd Ansari, to discuss various issues of the village on Wednesday.
During the meeting, Chief Education Officer Kargil, Executive Engineer PDD, Executive Engineer PMGSY, AEE PHE, in charge Samagra, besides locals of the village Itchoo, were present.
The villagers appraised the HCEC about various issues of the villages, including deployment of Hindi and Urdu teachers at school, speedy execution of road construction work of Itchoo, repair of damaged electric poles and wires, repair of JJM water supply among other issues.
The CEC Kargil directed CEO and incharge samagra to issue the order of deployment of Urdu teacher today itself. CEC Kargil assured the locals that a Hindi teacher will be deployed within a few days.
Regarding the dysfunction of the JJM water supply, CEC Kargil directed the concerned officials to do the needful repair at the earliest and make the water supply functional for the locals.
Pertaining to the issue of road construction, the CEC directed Executive Engineer, PMGSY to prioritise the rock cutting from three sides.
He further directed the Executive Engineer to execute the road construction work in coordination with locals of the village.
Meanwhile, it was informed to the CEC by villagers that many poles and wires were damaged due to recent blasting carried out in road construction works.
CEC Kargil directed EXN PDD to initiate the repair works at the earliest and provide electricity to the village at the earliest.
