CEC inaugurates Tailoring-cum-Designing Training Course


LEH: Chairman/CEC, Tashi Gyalson inaugurated the Basic and Advanced Tailoring-cum-Designing Training Course for local youths at the industrial unit of M/S Dragon Collection, Skara, in the presence of EC Industries, Ghulam Mehdi Wednesday.

Joint Director, Sports, UT Ladakh, Moses Kunzang; Superintendent, Handloom Department Leh, Dr. Tsewang Murup; Assistant Director, Handicraft Department Leh, Dr. Stanzin Rabgais; President, Merchant Association Leh, Tsering Angchuk and other concerned officials were also present.

Around 80 trainees will be trained in the first batch of the three-month training course, which is being organised as a part of a collaboration between LAHDC Leh and M/S Dragon Collection to equip the local youths with employability skills, enhancing their opportunity for income generation.

CEC Gyalson commended M/S Dragon Collection as a source of inspiration for the Ladakhi youths by being a job creator and gainfully employing a number of workers. He added that Hill Council will play a proactive role in supporting such initiatives by the local youths for the local youths.
