CEC Gyalson launches Horticulture YouTube channel ‘Skitsal
LEH: In a significant step towards enhancing public awareness and education, Chairman/CEC, Tashi Gyalson in the presence of District Horticulture Officer Leh, Kunzang Angmo launched the official YouTube channel, ‘Skitsal’ of Horticulture Department, Leh Friday.
The primary objective of the ‘Skitsal’ YouTube channel is to provide the general public, particularly the farming community, with a wide range of informative content, including videos on fruit processing measures, orchid establishment, expert talks, and updates on beneficial government schemes. A weekly program has already been airing regarding the same on All India Radio Leh.
CEC Tashi Gyalson congratulated the Department of Horticulture, Leh for the launch of ‘Skitsal’ and highlighted the importance of digital platforms in disseminating knowledge.
He emphasised the role of technology in transforming the agricultural landscape and empowering farmers with the necessary tools to thrive in today’s ever-evolving world. He also lauded the Horticulture Department Leh for their efforts in bringing this initiative to fruition.
Through this digital platform, the Horticulture Department, Leh intends to bridge the gap between the government and the farming community, fostering a collaborative environment where information can be easily accessed and shared.
