LEH: Advocate Tashi Gyalson, Chairman/CEC LAHDC Leh, convened a meeting today to review the progress of ongoing works and the status of the 220 KV Transmission line from Leh to Nubra sub-division.
Dy Chairman, Tsering Angchuk; EC Minority, Ghulam Mehdi; DC/CEO LAHDC Leh, Shrikant Suse; Councillor Panamik, Tsering Sangdup; Councillor Tiger, Rigzin Lundup; SE PDD Leh, ACR Leh, SDM Nubra, Tehsildar Leh, Tehsildar Diskit, Xen PDD Leh, and the officials as well as Engineers of REC Power Development attended the meeting.
Officers of PDD Leh and the executing agency apprised the CEC of the current status of the work progress of the transmission line during the meeting. They informed about the work done so far with the completion of the laying of foundations for the initial transmission towers. CEC Gyalson has expressed his gratitude to LG Ladakh for the clearance from the State Wildlife board and further submitting it to the National Board for the execution of the mega project.
CEC Gyalson further directed concerned officers to expedite the ongoing work for the timely completion of the said project. He added that this is a dream project of the people of the Nubra region and we should leave no stone unturned to complete the project and dedicate it to the people of Nubra.
