Leh: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson along with DC Leh, Shrikant Suse visited Lingshed village to review the preparation for the upcoming Yarchos Chenmo and the progress of Jal Jeevan Mission projects.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Khaltse; Block Development Officer, Khaltse; Assistant Executive Engineers of Public Works Department (RnB division), Power Development Department and Public Health Engineering accompanied CEC Gyalson.
CEC reviewed the status of various works allocated to the line departments regarding the conduct of Yarchos Chenmo event at Lingshed. He further interacted with the Head Lama and concerned monks of Lingshed monastery and the Yarchos Chenmo Committee members for the same.
CEC Gyalson expressed satisfaction over the ongoing preparatory works for Yarchos Chenmo and appreciated the concerned officers/officials for their hard work. He also lauded the achievement of JJM connections in the village.
Similarly, CEC Gyaslon also visited Lingshed monastery to inspect the accommodation facilities undertaken for the visit of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and other guests for Yarchos Chenmo.
The monks of Lingshed Gompa expressed their gratitude to CEC Gyalson for ensuring early and timely completion of works for Yarchos Chenmo.
It has been also informed that Lingshed village is now connected with grid connection with NHPC Alchi, given the Yarchos Chenmo event. For which formal inauguration would be done soon. Trail has been done from today for electrifying Lingshed along with Skyumpata and Nyeraks village
