Leh: :On behalf of the people of Ladakh, Chairman/CEC, Adv. Tashi Gyalson congratulates His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama for recieving the first Gandhi-Mandela Award for Peace today.
Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar presented the award to His Holiness the Dalai Lama at a function organised at Thekchen Choeling, Mcleodganj, Dharamshala this morning.
Congratulating His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, CEC Gyalson stated that His Holiness is an icon for kindness, unity and an advocate of peace and non-violence in the world. He added that such recognition would further spread the message of universal responsibility, love, compassion and kindness among all.
Earlier this year, LAHDC Leh had the honor of presenting this year’s ‘Ladakh dPal rNgam Award’ to His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama during his visit to Ladakh.
