
CEC approves Master Plan for high school Chushul
LEH: In continuation of various intervention being made to revamp the school education system in the government schools of UT Ladakh, Department is taking steps to overhaul the existing infrastructure and also build new state-of-the-art infrastructure for the holistic development of the students.
In this regard, Chairman/CEC, Tashi Gyalson convened a meeting regarding to finalise the master plan of Chushul High School.
The consultant gave a presentation on the planning and designing of the school in compliance with the norms of the Central Board of School Education (CBSE) standards. The master plan also constitutes academic, administrative and residential zone along with the open spaces for the playground.
The consultant informed that the master plan will have provisions for laboratories, multipurpose art/ recreational/ music/ dance rooms, library, sports etc. He shared that all the buildings will be solar passive, south facing and energy efficient.
CEC Gyalson exhorted that school buildings especially Hostels should be made more accessible to students and ensuring an inclusive school environment and that any barriers they face are actively addresses and removed.
He stresses on the creation of centrally heated with adequate seating/ bedding facilities, all-seasoned functioning bathrooms, vaccines, hygiene etc of the students. He further added that High School and Higher Secondary School should have master-plan for avoiding haphazardly construction.
Later, CEC Gyalson approved the Master Plan of Chushul High School in motion.
