CEC approves GDC Khatsi Master Plan, construction of Club House for LAHDC

LEH: Chairman/CEC Tashi Gyalson convened a meeting regarding the Master Plans of Government Degree College Khaltsi and construction of Club House for LAHDC at Melongthang Leh Tuesday.

The consultant gave a presentation on the overall planning and designing of the college in compliance with the norms of the University Grants Commission (UGC) standards. The master plan consist of block wise planning which constitute academic, administrative, residential zone, cafeteria, multi-purpose hall, Gazetted officer residence, Non-Gazetted officer residence, Girls Hostel, Shopping Centre, Boys Hostel, library etc along with the open spaces for the playground.

Later, consultant also gave a presentation on Construction of Guest House, Club for LAHDC at Melongthang Leh. The consultant gave a detail overview regarding the project which is proposed by LAHDC Leh.

CEC Gyalson approved the Master Plan of Govt. Degree College Khaltsi with some minor changes like orientations of residential buildings to get the maximum sunlight. No stilt parking to be provided in residential buildings etc. CEC Gyalson also approves overall concept of construction of Club House for

LAHDC at Melongthang Leh and directed the consultant to give Leh city view to maximum areas.
The meeting was attended by the Councillor Khaltsi Lobzang Sherab; SE R&B Leh, Nisar Ahmed; Registrar, UOL, Professor Ashok Sharma; Principal Degree College Khaltse, Professor Stanzin Yangdol; Xen SSD Khaltse, Tashi Namgyal; Empanelled Architect Randeep Hooda and Architect Norboo Gyaltso: JE Construction Division Leh Imran Khan; JE construction Division Leh Thupstan Targais.
