Leh: The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has completed the construction of a 20-kilometre-long portion of the strategically important road heading towards Hotsprings in eastern Ladakh from Lukung, a village near the western end of the Pangong Lake.

The road is critical as the standoff with China at Hotsprings, one of the many friction points between the Indian Army and the Chinese People’s Liberation Army, has continued despite disengagement in some areas.
