Leh: Department ofPhysical Education, Leh Campus, University of Ladakh organised an Interdepartmental Futsal competition at Leh Campus.

Five teams consisting of the Department of Zoology, Mathematics, History and Political Science, B. P.Ed, and Economics participated in the competition.
Registrar, University of Ladakh, Professor A K Sharma, was the chief guest during thefinal match. Dean of Research, Dr Sonam Joldan; Dean of Student Welfare, DrJigmat Dechan and faculties of all the departments were also present.
The first match of the futsal competition was played between the teams of B. P.Ed and Zoology department, in which B. P.Ed team won by 10/2 score.
In the second match between the Economics and Mathematics departments, the Economics team won by a 6/4score and qualified for the final round.
The third match was played between B.P.Ed and the History & Political Science team in which B. P.Ed team won the game and qualified for the final round.
The final match was played between the teams of the B. P.Ed and Economics departments. And B. P.Ed lifted the trophy by scoring 8/3 score.
The event concluded with the distribution of trophies to the winner and runner-up teams by the chief guest Prof A K Sharma.
Tsering Dorjay of the B. P.Ed department team was adjudged the best player in the competition.
