Leh: A delegation of Sarpanches led by BDC Chairperson Leh, Dr. Skalzang Dorjey called on the Chairman/CEC, Adv. Tashi Gyalson today.
The delegation appreciated the recent step taken by the Hill Council for providing funds to the entire Panchayats of Leh district under the scheme of ‘Conservation & Preservation of Heritage sites’. They expressed their gratitude to the Chairman, LAHDC Leh for the initiative and hoped that the initiative would help in preserving many heritage sites in the district.
The delegation of Sarpanches further apprised CEC Gyalson of various observations regarding the implementation of JJM works in various Panchayat Halqas of the district. They requested CEC for reviewing the works with the concerned executing agencies for a smooth implementation of JJM.
Taking note of their grievances, CEC Gyalson assured the delegation to address their issues and also would conduct a review meeting with all the concerned Councillors of LAHDC Leh, BDC Chairpersons, and Sarpanches and the officials of the concerned departmental team of JJM and the executing agencies.
