Leh: Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, R.K. Mathur Thursday visited the Spituk Monastery.
Chogji-Lama Ven Lhundup, Councilor Phyang T. Nurboo along with representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions and the monastery, requested the LG for construction of a museum to honour the memory of His Excellency Late Bakula Rinpoche.
LG Mathur stated that His Excellency Bakula Rinpoche’s selfless service to the people of Ladakh has rightfully earned him the title, “Architect of Modern Ladakh”.
The monastery houses a treasure of cultural and religious artifacts which were put to display for the Lieutenant Governor.
