KARGIL: District Industries Centre, Kargil in collaboration with District Panchayat Officer Kargil, SLPMU-PM Vishwakarma Team and JK Bank organized an awareness Programme on PM Vishwakarma Scheme, a central sector scheme of the Government of India at PWD Dak Bungalow Sankoo on April 10, 2025.

The program aimed to spread awareness about PM Vishwakarma Scheme and instant loan approval under the said scheme.

The event was attended by Mudasir Rahowf Wani Functional Manager DIC Kargil, Yousuf Tehsildar Sankoo, BDO Sankoo, Lobzang IPO DIC Kargil, SLPMU-PM Vishwakarma Team Aruni Kumar Raja, Sheikh Jahan Zaib , Nodal Officer for PM Vishwakarma scheme of Sankoo, Trespone, Taisuru and Saliskote Block, Representative from JK Bank Sankoo, Taisuru, Trespone and Saliskote and PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries.

During the awareness program, Functional Manager DIC Kargil, Mudasir Rahowf Wani, welcomed the guest and presented an insightful overview about PM Vishwakarma, PMEGP and PMFME scheme.

The SLPMU-PM Vishwakarma Team Aruni Kumar Raja and Sheikh Jahan Zaib Presented an insightful overview on the PM Vishwakarma Scheme, explained in detail about the registration, skill up-gradation, support of better and modern tool kit, Collateral free credit support, marketing support, etc. to artisans and other participants of Sub Division Sankoo.

The Representative of JK Bank Sankoo, Taisuru, Trespone and Saliskote presented an insightful overview of the role of bank in supporting the PM Vishwakarma scheme.

Moreover, at the workshop, loans were approved for 15 artisans, and the program saw participation from over 250 artisans.
