Awareness program organised on world environment day at Alchi

LEH: To promote awareness and understanding of the importance of environmental conservation, a special program was organised on World Environment Day in the subdivision Liker under the supervision of Dr. Sarwar Shahzad SDM Liker and Tehsildar Saspol Naveed Bhat Monday at Alchi.

The program was aimed at promoting awareness and encouraging young people to be responsible and active in environmental conservation efforts.

General Manager, NHPC, Jitender Singh, and Chairperson, Block Development Council, Saspol, Chhering Phuntsog were present during the program.

A variety of activities were organised including an environment-friendly run, plantation, rallies by students, and skits that showcased the importance of environmental conservation.

Participants from Sapsol Higher Secondary School; Alchi Institute and Council Model School Alchi took part in the event.

In the end, the winners of these activities were felicitated for their achievements. The event was attended by a large number of participants from the local communities.
