Awareness program for senior citizens commences

KARGIL: A three-day awareness-cum-information program for senior citizens of Kargil organized by Elderline-Ladakh (HelpAge India) in started Wednesday at Auditorium Hall, Kargil.

THe program was held in coordination with the Department of Social and Tribal Welfare, Department of Health, NHM, and UIDAI

During the program, a number of senior citizens visited the venue and their issues related to the Aadhaar card, old age pension, social welfare schemes, golden card were resolved.

Similarly, senior citizens were sensitized about the Elderline (National Helpline for Senior Citizens) services and operations in Ladakh.

The awareness program will conclude on March 17.
