Leh: With an objective to provide fresh vegetables to people Ladakh as well as livelihood to farmers, the scientists have discovered innovative idea of growing vegetables under polyhouses. “Polyhouses is technique, which is used to maintain temperature required for growing vegetables. The technique will help farmers to grow vegetables in harsh winters, when night temperature plunges minus 30,” an official from Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology (SKUAST) told Indus Dispatch.
