
Author from Turtuk, resident of Umba-Kargil call on LG Mishra
Leh: Mohd Ali Khan, an author from Turtuk village, called on the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd), at Raj Niwas Saturday.
Ali informed the LG about his journey of writing the book, titled “Tarekh-e-Ladakh” in Urdu language. He requested the LG for assistance in the translation and publication of his book in English language.
Ali rendered two patriotic self-composed songs to the assemblage of the UT Ladakh officers. Appreciating his patriotism, Ali was presented a shawl and a gift.
The LG appreciated Mohd Ali for his contribution to the literary field of Ladakh and assured him of all possible help.
Mohd Hussain, a resident of Umba village in Kargil, called on the LG at Raj Niwas. Advisor to LG, Dr Pawan Kotwal, IAS, and Secretary to LG, Ravinder Kumar, IAS, were also present in the meeting.
Hussain apprised the LG of the ongoing construction of his house under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY). He requested for financial aid for the completion of his house. The LG directed Secretary to LG to look into the matter.
