Leh: On his recent visit to Ladakh, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu shared heartfelt moments and deep reflections during his stop in Zanskar, calling the experience both humbling and unforgettable.
The Chief Minister was hosted for dinner by His Eminence the 10th Lhagyal Rinpoche, Tulku Tenzin Wangchen, at his family home in Zanskar.
CM Khandu described meeting the Rinpoche’s parents as “especially moving,” and praised their humility, warmth, and devotion, which he said reflect the timeless values of the region.
“Thank you, Rinpoche and family, for the incredible welcome. This visit will stay with me for a long time,” Khandu posted.
Earlier in the day, the CM arrived in Zanskar, greeted by warm smiles and a deep sense of tradition. “The people of Ladakh remind us that hospitality isn’t about grandeur, it’s about heart. And they’ve got plenty of it,” he wrote, also expressing awe at the region’s breathtaking landscape.
On his way from Leh to Zanskar, Khandu stopped at the BRO (GREF) camp at Nyerak village, where he lauded the Border Roads Organisation for their relentless work in constructing roads across some of the country’s most challenging terrains. “Salute to the team for opening up new opportunities and connectivity for remote communities,” he added.
The visit highlighted not just inter-regional ties but also underlined shared respect for tradition, infrastructure development, and people-first governance.
