LEH, October 21: Lieutenant General Hitesh Bhalla, General Officer Commanding, Fire and Fury Corps, interacted with personnel of Project Himank and the Trishul Division working in remote border villages across Ladakh, marking the festive occasion of Diwali with sweets and greetings.
During the visit, Lt Gen Bhalla acknowledged the personnel’s tireless efforts in improving road connectivity across the high-altitude terrain, often in the face of extreme weather and logistical challenges. The Army initiative, under Project Himank, has been critical in linking frontier villages to essential services and strengthening infrastructure in some of India’s most difficult and sensitive border areas.
