Leh: After a gap of two years, Ladakh Festival 2022 commences with great fanfare with the symbolic procession in the auspicious snow shower.
The symbolic procession of LadakhFestival2022 from Karzoo zing via market reached PoloGround marking the commencement of four-day festival from Oct 13-16.
All preparations have been made to mobilize the crowd of tourists in these celebrations as well.
At the same time, Ladakh Sports Department Secretary Ravindra Kumar said that the role of sports in promoting tourism in Ladakh is important. He said that cultural programs, sports like archery, polo and horse riding along with folk dances will enhance the glory of the four-day Ladakh festival. Full preparations have been made by the department. Sports department encourages tourists to visit Ladakh through adventure, winter sports along with traditional sports. Winter season is starting in Ladakh. In such a situation, sports like ice hockey, snow skiing will be organized in the coming months. He said that all efforts are being made to make Ladakh the main center of winter sports in the country.
