Nubra: The Administrative Secretary of the Information Technology Department, UT Ladakh, Shashanka Ala, IAS, and the Administrative Secretary of the Agriculture and Horticulture Department, UT Ladakh Bhupesh Chaudhary, IAS chaired a review meeting at the Conference Hall of the SDM Office Complex, Diskit Nubra Friday.

The meeting involved a detailed review with concerned departments, including departmental heads and field officers to assess the implementation status of various developmental schemes and initiatives.

The meeting was to evaluate the progress of departmental projects, and focusing on the development initiatives in the Nubra region.

Also reviews on Rural Development Department’s activities with discussions centered on segregation and development planning.

They also interacted with officials from the Child Development Project Officer of Diskit to reviews on the infrastructure and operations of ICDS centres in Nubra.

Furthermore, the proposed implementation of an electric bus service in Nubra, as requested by the Councillor of the Hunder constituency

They also held discussions with representatives from BSNL to address issues related to mobile network connectivity in the region and to explore possible improvements.

The meeting was attended by SDM Nubra, Mukul Beniwal, Councillor of Hunder constituency, Kunzang Lotus, SDAO Diskit, representatives from the Horticulture Department, Assistant Registrar Cooperative of Nubra, Block Development Officer Turtuk,SDE BSNL Nubra, CDPO Diskit and all Nambardars of the Nubra Sub Division.

Later in the day, both Administrative Secretaries visited several agricultural and horticultural sites in Nubra Valley on the first day of their tour.

Their visit included an inspection of the progressive farmer’s field in Tiger village, the Agriculture Farm at Sumoor, and the Horticulture Orchard in Tirith village
