Kargil, November 7: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, reviewed the winter preparedness and welfare measures of the Municipal Committee Kargil during a visit to its yard at Fatima Chowk.
The CEC inspected snow clearance machinery, garbage collection vehicles, and other essential equipment to ensure operational readiness for the upcoming winter. He also assessed ongoing works, staff strength, and infrastructural needs, directing officials to address any shortfalls promptly.
Interacting with municipal workers and drivers, Dr. Akhoon assured full support from LAHDC Kargil to improve their welfare and working conditions. He also reviewed the progress of welfare schemes, including PM Awas Yojana.
Appreciating the Municipal Committee’s consistent efforts in maintaining cleanliness and civic services, the CEC urged the team to maintain efficiency and dedication during the harsh winter months. He reiterated the Council’s commitment to strengthening municipal infrastructure and enhancing public service delivery in Kargil.
