Leh, November 14, 2025: In a continued push to bring governance closer to the people, the District Administration Leh held a public outreach camp at Nimoo village today under the ongoing “Mimang-Si-Sjabstogs” — Administration at Your Doorstep — initiative. The event marked the fifth day of the district-wide drive that began on November 10.
Nodal Officer Padma Angmo (JKAS), Assistant Director Tourism, led the camp, accompanied by officials from nearly 20 departments. Community members welcomed the team and submitted a memorandum outlining local issues and demands, while also expressing appreciation for the outreach effort.
Addressing villagers, Padma Angmo said the initiative aims to bridge gaps between the administration and the public by ensuring direct delivery of services at the grassroots. She encouraged villagers to interact openly with officials and register grievances for timely redressal.
Speaking in her capacity as Assistant Director Tourism, she highlighted tourism opportunities in Nimoo — a major rafting hub — and urged locals to motivate youth to tap into tourism-related schemes. She also explained the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process, stressing the importance of correcting duplicate entries in the electoral roll, and asked the Nambardar to raise awareness in the community.
Throughout the day, departments offered on-the-spot services including e-KYC, Aadhaar generation, ABHA and Golden Card issuance, ration card updates, and RC issuance. Villagers also voiced concerns on road conditions, the need for a primary health centre and community hall, and issues under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
In her concluding remarks, the Nodal Officer assured that all grievances would be forwarded to higher authorities for necessary action and reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to efficient, doorstep governance. The 15-day outreach campaign aims to cover every village in Leh district, spreading awareness of government schemes and addressing public needs directly.
