
Additional Sewerage network for left-out areas in Leh town
LEH: Chairman/CEC, Tashi Gyalson chaired an important meeting Saturday to discuss preliminary plans for establishing an additional Sewerage network for the left-out areas in Leh town.
Deliberations were held on decentralising the STPs and centralisation of their flow networks in future focusing on reusing the treated water.
The CEC highlighted the need to explore the best possible technologies for executing these major public welfare projects.
The CEC also emphasised the need for the formation of a dedicated board in Leh to look after all the solid waste and sewerage-related wastage and their management so that major issues could be addressed with ease in future.
He also desired to conduct follow-up meetings with the concerned officers and officials on the progress of these major projects in the future.
The meeting was attended by President MC Leh, Councillor Upper Leh, Director ULB Ladakh, DFO Leh, SE R&B Leh, SE Hydraulics Leh, Tehsildar Leh, Xen Igoo-Phey Division Leh, EO MC Leh, Director BORDA South Asia, and other concerned officials of the line department.
